Study Abroad, an achievable goal, some advice!

,
When we finished our school, high school stage or school and we are ready to start our journey university have many hopes and dreams, one may be the fact of studying abroad, sometimes we see this a bit unattainable goal given the economic investment represented by this option either in terms of tuition, travel and support for the duration of the race. however there are possibilities that can open the doors to reach this ideal, and this possibility are the scholarships.

The problem is that you really know these opportunities exist, and therefore we let it go untapped and this little entry is dedicated to tell you that the opportunities are there, there are countless organizations, government agencies, institutions, of NGOs that provide and / or training programs funded through grants meet only a matter of time and prepare for it.

Here a few tips to improve our chances when seeking study abroad:

Clearly identify who wants to study: This step is critical because it allows us to identify colleges that offer the career you want to study, many grant programs offer an endless number of possible universities (eg the call that makes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico may have with over 150 universities to be eligible for a scholarship). The importance of this step is to identify all those universities that offer the program you are looking for, I recommend you do a short list.

Find a scholarship program, scholarship programs seem difficult to locate, but there are some places where you can search begin this process, of course becasyestudio can be a good reference, but you can also go to the pages of the secretaries of education your country, to the pages of the ministries of foreign affairs, the pages of the embassies of the countries they belong to the universities where they locate the program you like, pages of foundations (eg Fundacion Carolina), and if you are Colombia and want to study abroad, or if you're overseas and want to study in Colombia Important visit and register for ICETEX page.

Identify the requirements of the scholarship for which you want to participate: It is important to understand the requirements of fellowship programs to which we aspire, there are a number of requirements that are common to all grants processes, these include: having transcripts and studies, provide a letter of admission or a letter of intent (extremely important step), letters of recommendation from teachers, curriculum vitae, among others. always keep this information handy and organized, sometimes time for calls is short.

Set a schedule: Proceedings applying for a scholarship program times are not many, but some roles may require a painstaking and time consuming processed, do not leave everything to the last hour, and if possible before seeking scholarship have those papers ready which are mandatory and common to each of the calls as noted in the previous section.

There are a variety of opportunities just that we must be vigilant and know where to look, remember that luck is preparation meeting and opportunity.
